Soccer is one of the most popular sports in the world and thus betting on it is common. In this article, we shall look at some of the most common soccer bets and how the odds are posted.

The first team that is posted is the home team. Thus, here it is Barcelona. 1 represents Barcelona and the odds are 2.1/1. Thus, you take the value of money you are betting and multiply it with 2.1 here. The 2 stands for the other team. In this case, that team is Real Madrid and the odds are 3.6, so choose the amount you will bet and multiply it with 2.6 to know how much you will win. The X stands for a draw. In this case, the odds of that are 3.4 so if you win, you will win the amount you invested multiplied by 3.4. This is the most common soccer wager. Other popular bets are the over/under totals bet, first half bet. Second half bet and the final score.

1,2 and X are the same as the previous example.

1x represents a home win or draw. This means an either and or scenario where the better scan win if the home wins and if there is a draw.  

2X stands for away win and draw. In this case, you can win the Bet if the away team that is Real Madrid wins or if there is a draw. Another bet is the ½ bet. This is a bet where you win if either team wins. It means you are wagering against a draw. The odds are not very good in these cases.

Soccer betting only covers the outcome of the game at the end of the regulation time and injury time. If a game goes into overtime this is not considered. The bet is made on the score that was made at the end of the regulation game.
